Description
The "CURE2CHILDREN" ONLUS Foundation was created by the will of an oncologist doctor, Dr. Lawrence Faulkner, and a group of parents who have lived, and live every day, the pain of losing their child due to an onco-hematological disease .
"CURE2CHILDREN" (C2C) works to bring care and prevention directly "on site". In addition to logistical support, we train doctors and health personnel so that over time they can independently take care of the small patients suffering from these terrible diseases.
C2C's contribution is not aimed at major humanitarian emergencies but rather at the daily ones of families with children suffering from serious pathologies who suffer and die from the lack of accessible care in their country.
We firmly believe that to create a health care development in an emerging country, it is necessary to invest above all in advanced medical training projects and research appropriate to the context that generates motivation, professional attraction and international competitiveness. To quote Bill Drayton, founder of Ashoka, "if we really want to help the least developed countries it is not enough to give fish or fishing rod but we have to help create a competitive fishing industry".
There is not a single part of the emerging world left where, in our 12 years of activity (2007-2019), we have not explored local medical realities and proposed our free contribution. In some missions, the projects have developed considerably, also remaining very amazed, while others are progressing less quickly due to local objective difficulties.
