Waterbasket or Waterbasketball is a sport born in Italy in 2003. In 2005 the Italian Basketball Federation recognized sport as a form of basketball and the regulation was deposited with CONI. Since 2009 the Italian Waterbasket Championship has been held every year, with the participation of more and more teams from north to south Italy.
